One payment
Pay once. There is nothing to renew.
Two prices for a technician, one price for a training program, and no tier above them holding anything back.
Core plus one type
$24.99once
For a technician sitting one certification. Core plus Type I, Type II or Type III — the full bank, the mock exam, the citations and the regulation browser for that path.
Decide later that you want the others and the upgrade is $19.99, not the full price again. Core is never charged for twice.
All four types
$39.99once
Core, Type I, Type II and Type III. This is the one to buy if you are sitting Universal, or if you do not yet know which type your employer needs you to hold.
Cheaper than two single types, which is the only reason a bundle should exist.
What you get before paying anything
Install the app and you get the full diagnostic and your readiness figure per subject area, with citations, without paying and without an account. The paywall never appears before that number does. That is a rule in the code, with a test on it, not a launch promotion.
After that, one complete drill session per day stays free permanently. The paywall appears when you ask for a second session in a day, when you start the mock exam, or when you add a certification type you have not bought.
It never appears on a cold open, never mid-session, and never after a wrong answer.

Why this is not a subscription
40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F sets out how a technician becomes certified. It sets no expiry date for that certification and requires no renewal. Read § 82.161 and you will find provisions for approving programs, for the test, and — at § 82.161(a)(3) — for revoking or suspending a certificate. You will not find a renewal cycle, because there is not one.
A monthly charge for exam preparation would therefore be a charge for the passage of time rather than for anything delivered. So: one payment, permanent access, no auto-renewal, no stored card on our side, and nothing to remember to cancel.
The purchase is a non-consumable in the App Store and Google Play sense. Restore it on a new phone with the store account you bought it with; there is no account here to log into.
Training programs
$8 per seat
Cohort seat
$8per seat, one-time
20-seat minimum, so a block starts at $160. Invoiced through Stripe. Includes the instructor console, the roster, the Monday digest and completion records.
A seat is anonymous: a code and an alias the student picks. There is no student email address anywhere in the system and no way to add one.
Redeemed seats last 90 days. Unredeemed seats last 180 days from issue. Refunds on unredeemed seats are pro-rata.
Questions people actually ask
- Does the certification expire, so will I need this again?
- Subpart F provides no expiry and no renewal for technician certification. If you pass, you should not need to sit it again. That is also why we do not bill you again.
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no email address collected from technicians. Your progress is on your phone.
- What happens if I change phones?
- Use Restore purchases with the same App Store or Google Play account. Your answer history does not transfer, because it was never uploaded anywhere — that is the trade the no-account design makes, and we would rather state it than bury it.
- Does it work with no signal?
- Yes. Diagnostic, drills, mock exam, scoring, citations and the regulation browser all work from a cold start with the radio off.
- Is this the real exam?
- No. The question bank the certifying programs draw from is released by the Administrator only to approved programs. These are practice questions written from the regulation.
- Can I get a refund?
- App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded by Apple and Google under their own terms; we cannot process those. Web purchases and cohort seats we handle directly. See the terms.
